Spouses of an active duty service members may be eligible for no-cost education through the Department of Defense's (DoD) Military Career Advancement Account program - MyCAA. The MyCAA program provides eligible spouses with up to $4,000 in financial assistance towards their education.

The MyCAA program covers the costs of associate degree programs and career training that leads to licensing, certifications and/or credentials in high-demand and high-growth industries.
There is a yearly cap on the available funds of $2,000. Additionally, military spouses must finish their program of study within three years from the start date of the first course.

If you're interested in learning more about the MyCAA program, there are certain eligibility requirements you will need to meet. First, you must be the spouse of an active-duty service member or an activated member of the National Guard Reserves. Second, your active duty spouse will need to fall into pay grades E-1-E-5, W1-W2 and O1-O2.
